Bob Koonce serves as the Executive Partner at Novellum Partners, which he founded following successful careers in the nuclear Navy and in the energy industry. He leveraged his twenty years of naval experience, including command of a nuclear submarine, to launch High Reliability Group, an advisory service focusing on developing leaders and teams who deliver high-reliability results in high-consequence operations. High Reliability Group has been influential in improving operations for many North American oil & gas industry players.

Bob Coward has spent over forty years leading large teams in electric power generation and other industries, including serving as Principal Officer at MPR, the leading technical and project management services firm supporting the nuclear power industry. His experience includes extensive work in new nuclear including primary responsibility leading South Texas Project Units 3&4 and recently executive oversight of the Carbon Free Power Project, and many other engagements with diverse customers (OEMs, DOE, EPRI, etc.). He fuses his extensive technical and business insights to deliver unparalleled guidance.

SANDY LUDINGTON
Engagement Manager

Sandy Ludington began his professional career as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy which included operational time at sea as well as operations, maintenance, and capital project management at a Navy shore-based nuclear facility. After leaving the Navy he worked in the commercial power industry at MPR Associates, supporting a number of operating nuclear power plants and advanced reactor developers. In addition to direct experience with nuclear technologies, he worked in the risk management function at Capital One and in developing innovative market research products for institutional investors and corporate clients at a leading data provider.

BRENT VOELKER
Engagement Manager

Brent Voelker is an energy systems leader with more than three decades in the design, manufacture, project development, construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generation, aerospace, and advanced clean energy technologies. His power generation experience ranges from distributed energy to utility-scale using nuclear, gas turbine combined cycle, reciprocating engine cogeneration, and energy storage technologies. Brent’s background includes extensive experience mitigating risk in the development and commercialization of new energy technologies.
